In a small community in Uganda, a group of children is growing up without the security most of us take for granted. Some have lost their parents, others live in extreme poverty where even daily meals and school attendance cannot be guaranteed.
Without support, many of these children face a future without education, opportunity or stability.

Founder/International Advisor Germany / Mallorca
Frank Garrelts is a German entrepreneur, philanthropist and international networker based between Germany and Mallorca, Spain. For decades he has been engaged in international business development, health innovation and social initiatives connecting Europe and Africa. His work focuses on building bridges between people, ideas and resources in order to create sustainable opportunities. Frank is a long-standing member of Rotary International and served as a District Governor, leading a large international network of professionals dedicated to humanitarian service, education and community development. Alongside his entrepreneurial activities, he has supported several charitable initiatives in Africa aimed at improving access to education, food security and long-term independence for children and families. As Founder and International Advisor of Lumora – From Aid to Independence, Frank supports the strategic vision of the project and helps connect international partners, donors and organizations who believe in sustainable development. He believes that real support should not create dependency but opportunity — empowering communities to build their own future through education, responsibility and cooperation.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
I’m passionate humanitarian and social impact leader dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in the communities of Uganda. With a strong commitment to sustainable development, he works to create long-term solutions that empower children through education, practical skills training, and community-based initiatives. Driven by the belief that charity should go beyond short-term assistance. I’m an Information Technology Manager by profession.
PROJECT MANAGER
I am a dedicated Project Manager at Lumora for Children Uganda, committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and supporting sustainable community development. I help coordinate projects, manage programs, organize activities, and work with volunteers, partners, and supporters to ensure that our initiatives create meaningful and lasting impact. With a background in project management, and digital solutions, I also contribute to strengthening the organization through communication, and coordination.
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
I am a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor committed to using dance as a powerful tool for learning, confidence building, creativity, and positive development among children and young people. Through our project, I teach children different forms of dance while creating a safe, fun, and encouraging environment where every child can participate, express themselves, and discover their abilities. My sessions focus not only on dance skills and movement but also on teamwork, discipline, confidence, coordination, and self-expression.
In many parts of Uganda, children grow up without stable family support. Without help they often lose access to school, nutrition and safety.

The flagship initiative of Lumora For Children Uganda is the establishment of a comprehensive campus that integrates education, vocational training, and income-generating activities.The campus is designed to serve as both a learning institution and a sustainable development center.
A key component of the project is the establishment of a vocational training and production center.This center allows students to learn practical skills while producing items that are used within the school or sold locally. The system helps reduce costs while giving students valuable hands-on experience.
Agriculture will play an important role in ensuring sustainability and food security.Students will participate in agricultural activities that include crop farming, vegetable gardening, poultry farming, and other agribusiness initiatives. These projects will support the school feeding program while also generating income from surplus produce.
